Rocker switch is a on/off switch with two sides.
The method of use is to connect or disconnect by pressing one side. This type of switch is commonly used in household appliances and office equipment. It is easy to install and can prevent moisture and dust. There are available in circular, square, rectangular, or oval shapes to choose from.

Take this rectangle rocker switch KCD7-2211N as an example. 15A 250VAC / 20A 125VAC switching in a compact miniature package. The contact resistance and insulation resistance are less than or equal to 50mΩ and greater than or equal to 100mΩ, respectively. Mechanical lifespan with at least 10000 operations.
The maintenance and upkeep of rocker switches can not only extend their service life. The following are the precautions for rocker switches:
1. Pay attention to the condition of the switch, promptly clean and handle rusted and loose bolts and nuts.
2. Timely repair and replace aged or damaged ship type switches and sockets.
3. For switches that are not used at the checkpoint, the power should be cut off in a timely manner to improve safety performance.
4. Ship type switches and sockets should be installed in dry, clean, and dust-free positions as much as possible to avoid moisture and corrosion.
5. The additional current and voltage of ship type switches and sockets should be consistent with the actual electricity consumption, avoiding the use of high-power electrical appliances connected to lamp sockets.
6. Do not use leads to connect to the ground wire
7. The ship type switch should use a matching fuse.
8. Do not connect the live wire to the neutral wire.

The fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of rocker switches are essential for the maintenance and upkeep of rocker switches. The following are common troubleshooting methods for rocker switches:
1. The switch cannot be started: Check if the power supply is normal or if there is a short circuit phenomenon; If the power supply is normal, check if the electromagnetic components inside the switch are damaged.
2. Circuit short circuit: Check if the connection between the ignition cable and the switch is good to prevent circuit disconnection; Check if the ignition coil or ignition switch is damaged. If damaged, it can be replaced.
3. Blown fuse: Check if the wiring is correct and replace the correctly rated fuse.
