Master the wiring method of metal buttons

    When wiring a metal push button switch, you need to be safe and follow proper procedures. Here is a clear wiring step.

 

Before wiring

    Identify the hot (positive pole, usually marked "+" or red wire) and neutral (negative pole, usually marked "-" or black wire) wires on the power cord. Identify the load, such as a light bulb, motor, etc., and understand how it is wired.

    Select the appropriate push button switch based on the current and voltage of the load.

    Prepare the required electrical tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, insulation tape, etc.

Series wiring method:

    Connect the positive terminal of the power supply: Connect the positive (+) terminal of the power supply to one terminal of the push button switch.

    Connect the load: Connect the other terminal of the push button switch to one terminal of the load (such as a light bulb, motor, etc.).

    Connect the negative terminal of the power supply: Connect the other terminal of the load to the negative terminal (-) of the power supply.

    When the button switch is in the closed state, the circuit is connected and the load works; when the button switch is in the open state, the circuit is disconnected and the load stops working.

 

Parallel wiring method:

    Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the load: Connect the positive (+) terminal of the power supply to one terminal of the load.

    Connect the load to the push button switch: Connect the other terminal of the load to one terminal of the push button switch.

    Connect the push button switch to the negative terminal of the power supply: Connect the other terminal of the push button switch to the negative (-) terminal of the power supply.

    Parallel wiring can control the on and off of multiple loads at the same time.

 

After wiring

    Check the wiring to make sure all connections are tight and there are no exposed wire sections. Use electrical tape to wrap exposed portions of wires to prevent electric shock.

    To test the function, press the push button switch and check if the load can work properly. Press the button switch again to check whether the load can stop working.

 

Precautions

    First, when doing wiring work, always make sure the power is turned off and use appropriate protective equipment, such as insulating gloves and goggles.

    Second, avoid wiring work in a humid environment to prevent electric shock accidents. If the push button switch is installed in a humid environment such as a bathroom, it is best to install a protective cover to extend its service life and reduce the risk of electric shock accidents.

    Third, choose the appropriate wire size based on the power of the motor to ensure that the wire can withstand the current and voltage of the load.
